About The Owner

I began working in the furniture industry in 1985 for a small unfinished furniture store in Chantilly, VA. I was hired as the only employee in the finishing shop. Quickly, the business grew and I became the finishing shop manager with four employees under me. A few years later, I was offered a job at a large upscale furniture store in Rockville, MD working in the finishing and repair shop. All the pieces came finished from the factory but several pieces in each shipment somehow suffered damage. While there, I gained a lot of experience in duplicating different types of finishes, from antique to traditional to contemporary and even high gloss finishes.

In an effort to earn a better living, I started working after hours and on weekends doing refinishing and repair jobs for clients of my own. A few years later, a moving company made me an offer to come on board to repair the damaged pieces that all moving companies endure in the normal course of business.

About 18 years ago, I had built up enough personal client base to become fully self-employed. This is where I am today, with my own shop in the Industrial Park area and a large client base. I also do some contract repair work for a few retail stores to do repairs when damage occurs on delivery of new pieces.
